DT Teresa – All About the Girls 2!

Hello! Today I am sharing my second project for January with the theme All About the Girls.

When I ordered the Honey Bee stamp set Little Pickup from Neha, I knew I had to create with it right away! It kind of screams to be used on a card for a bloke, but the set itself is so versatile with all the sweet additions you can have loaded into the back of the ute. I figured that pink and frills are not for all girls…but (I think) most of us like to receive flowers!

There are words from the Honey Bee Sending You Sentiments stamp set that coordinate with this set which can be used for a celebration, a get well, a heads up on a change of address and on an occasion when you want to lift someone’s spirits.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Paper for the base which is cut at 4 ¼“ x 11” and scored at 5 ½“ to make a side folding card of 5 ½“ x 4 ¼”.

I applied Tumbled Glass and Broken China Ranger Distress Inks directly to the top half of the card base with a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool to create a sky back ground. I coloured the area in Peeled Paint Ranger Distress Ink that would be seen behind the track.

The hills with tree trunks were die cut with the Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Stitched Tree Borders and I also used the coordinating Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Grassy Hillside Borders for the foreground of the scene. These pieces were coloured with Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Ranger Distress Ink as were the green leaf pieces for the trees. I coloured the tree trunks with a Ranger Distress marker in Gathered Twigs.

On each piece – the sky, hill and two layers of grass, I squirted water using my Ranger Distress Sprayer which left the splotchy texture.

I took the first layering piece with the trees and die cut a track into it for the ute (pickup truck) to move along. The Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts Slide On Over set also coordinates, however I wanted the track to be a little longer than the die would allow. I placed the piece into the Sizzix Bigshot so that the right side of the die was hanging outside the sandwich of the plates so that it would not be cut.

Please excuse the state of the plates!

I then flipped the die around and matched it up with the cut piece and again ensured that the die would not cut at that end by leaving it outside the plates. This enabled me to have a longer track along the card.

Again, please excuse the state of the plates!!

I stamped the ute and flowers from Honey Bee Stamps Little Pickup with my MISTI stamping tool in Memento Tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured the ute and flowers with Copic markers. The flowers and ute were then diecut using the coordinating Honey Bee Little Pickup dies.

I chose 'a little pickup' sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Sending You Sentiments and stamped in Versamark ink using the MISTI stamping tool to assist with placement and embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder using the Wagner heat tool.

As the ute is a large image, I cut four cardstock discs with the My Favorite Things Surf and Turf dies so that I could secure it in two places. I glued a My Favorite Things Spin & Slide Disc onto two of the cardstock discs with Ranger Multi Medium matte and placed them into the tracks underneath so the Spin & Slide discs were facing up. The other cardstock discs were then adhered onto the other side of the Spin & Slide discs. At this point, both ran freely along the track. I placed them apart so the ute could then be glued to the discs in a sturdy position.

I then adhered this layer to the card base using 3M Scotch Double-Sided Foam Tape and used it also to adhere the first layer of grass in order to give the ute clearance to move along the track. I adhered the final piece directly using Ranger Multi Medium matte and added the single flowers along the bottom of the card.

I finished off the card by diecutting three of the 'Sending you' sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Sending You Sentiments die set from white cardstock and layered them together, adhering the words to the card base using Ranger Multi Medium matte. With a lick of Zig A Wink of Stella in clear over the sentiment, the card was complete.

Hello Everyone, Its Tracey with you today.
I would like to show you a card and gift bag I made for a friends birthday....using products from "Auzz Trinklet N  Kraft"
" Make it Girly" is this months theme.

I really enjoy making my own Paper flowers.......Neha stocks an amazing variety of stamens, all colours and sizes.  I have mixed two different ones together. A tiny pale pink and a crystal cluster. The tiny white flowers are also from her store. I like white flowers.....its fun to spray them in any colour to coordinate with your project.

Lets start with a close up of all the layers.

Die cut leaves, flowers and Hearts.

I added shading to the center with Distress ink.

I gave the flowers a light spray of water , then used 'HeartfeltCreations' tools to shape them.

Altenew Brush Art Floral"  was used to stamp the design onto the gift bag which I made from  printer paper! I used washi tape to stick the bags together!

Go HERE for instructions on how to make diy bag out of any paper.

A pretty Gift set!

Enjoy your week

DT Teresa – All About the Girls!

Hello Everyone, welcome to my first DT project with Auzz Trinklets n Krafts – I am thrilled to be sharing projects with you over the coming months!

The card I am sharing today features the fabulous stamp set Trouble in a Tutu, by Clearly Besotted. These hippos are so fun with their leaping, twisting and twirling ways!

I love a sturdy card base when creating dimensional cards, so I tend to use a heavyweight cardstock.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Paper for the base which is cut at 4 ¼" x 11" and scored at 5 ½" to make a top folding card of 5 ½" x 4 ¼".

I cut a layer from Strathmore Bristol cardstock using a die from Blueprints 27, by My Favorite Things. Bristol has a perfectly smooth surface which makes it great for stamping and handles Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers very well.

I placed the cut piece into my (Original) MISTI stamping tool, fitting it snugly into the bottom left hand corner and arranged the three Clearly Besotted hippo stamps at the bottom and two hippo stamps at the top onto the cardstock, before closing the lid of the MISTI to take up the stamps.

The stamps were then inked with Simon Says Stamp black dye ink. I stamped twice with the MISTI to ensure the outline of the images were precise and then stamped these images onto Inkadinkadoo Stamping Mask Paper and fussy cut each hippo closely against the image. After placing the masks of each hippo over the images stamped onto the Bristol cardstock, I placed the piece back into the MISTI stamping tool and inked up a background stamp, Tiny Birthday Cling Background, from The Ton with Lawn Fawn ink, Merman. Again, I stamped this twice for a darker impression.
I stamped the sixth hippo onto a separate piece of cardstock and after removing the masks from the hippos (tadaaa!), I coloured them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto the layering piece and also stamped the banner with Simon Says Stamp black dye ink onto a piece of textured cardstock from my stash, which matched nicely with the Lawn Fawn Merman ink.

The sixth hippo and banner were die cut with the co-ordinating dies from the Clearly Besotted Trouble in a Tutu die collection with my Sizzix Bigshot Machine. I placed the banner onto the layering piece and then the layering piece onto the card base using 3M Scotch Double-Sided Foam Tape. The sixth hippo was adhered onto the banner with Ranger Multi Medium Matte as was the sweet tiny heart I pulled from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards, in Phosphorescence. As a finishing touch, I added Tsukineko-Irresistible Shimmer Pico Embellisher to the bow of each hippo to add some glitter and shine.

Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Krafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.
Happy crafting and have a great day!

Teresa

AuzzTrinklets N Kraft - DT Ness - "Girly"

Hi all....
I have been lucky enough to stay on for another 6 months with Neha at AuzzTrinklets N Krafts design team.

this months theme is "Girly" so I decided to work on a canvas, doing a technique I recently learned with an amazing lady I know Peta Thompson.

the technique is paint over college...u basically select an image u like from a magazine, and then arrange the picture on your canvas with any other college images u like. Then paint over the top with clear gesso, then you are able to "paint" over with watercolour crayons. It will teach you about the lights and darks of the image, and blending.

I hope u like what I have created.

thanks for looking

"Flamingo"

Happy 2017 Everyone!
Its Tracey Here...........Who makes New Years resolutions? Well one thing I plan on doing this year is to get lots more of my photos scrapped, so that means more photos on a page!
Our Theme for the month of January is "Make it Girly"
The first thing I thought of was.... Flowers and Pink!
I had lots of fun creating this double page :)

(click on photo for a larger view)

Every thing on this layout is Die cut......I've used chalk ink shade the flowers. On the tips of the stamens I've used Nuvo Crystal drops.

The title is covered in Micro beads. The design on the large circle is rubons, coloured in with water colour pencils.

Spellbinders  feather dies for the tail.......the perfect place for a sprinkle of sequins!

Happy Creating!

Welcome to 2017..January It's All About the Girls DT Deni

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to 2017 :-)

DT Deni here with you today, I hope everyone is starting 2017 well and you all had a lovely Christmas.

I am from Sydney, Christmas eve was raining so we were expecting to be having a wet Christmas this year but thankfully it stopped over night and we were in for a warm Christmas with the air con on.
It was my turn to have my boys for Christmas dinner this year so daytime was tough for me but the hours went pretty quickly and then it was time for them to come home and open their presents. It was only a quick opening as we were late for Christmas dinner with my family.

We spent Christmas night with my eldest brother and his wife and my nephew, my brother above me and his wife and new nephew, my cousin (who lived with us when we were little) and my parents. My Boyfriend and I were separated at the time so I didn't have that special someone with me.

We had a really lovely night, lots of food and conversation and catch ups. Then home to set up the kids new PS4 Console so they could have a little play before bed.

I hope everyone had as nice a Christmas Day as I did :-) and now onto my DT Post lol.

This month we are designing with the theme of "All About The Girls" in mind. For me that generally means pink and frills lol. I have a few new stamp sets sitting on my desk at the moment from my last Auzz Trinklets Bulk purchase, so i went through them all and found this one: Your Next Stamp- Magical Ponies. I went to pinterest to try and get some ideas of what to do with it because I was in a creative block at the time.

I stamped the images on Color Copy Mondi Cardstock using an acrylic block from Lawn Fawn, I used Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut the rectangle using My Favorite Things - Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frame and just put the outside scallop piece to the side for another project. I also cut another one using pink cardstock from American Crafts..I left the inside piece underneath to give it some height on my card. I attached it at the back of the scallop piece with some washi tape.

I then coloured the image using Copic Markers(listed below) I added some Wink Of Stella to the image, a drop of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower in the ponies hair.

I cut the stars from Simon Says Stamp - Stacked Stars from some leftover cardstock from another project. I put the stars to the side for another project, I cut another one from white cardstock and used only the inside stars to pop back into the yellow stars frame.

I then started putting my card together, I layered a few different colours of American Crafts Cardstock using ATG to create the matting, I then wrapped the twine around the middle piece of Cardstock. I then added a Doily using Tombow Mono Multi. I popped the Stars down, popped the inside stars in using Tombow Mono Multi.

I then added the rectangle layers down using My Scotch ATG. To finish off the stars I decided to add some Kindyglitz to give them shine.

The card still needed a little more so I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the rectangle frame.
Once everything was dry I added it all to a card base from Twiddleybitz.
