DT Kerry - Rainbows 2

Hi everyone

I wanted to go a little more graphic with this card.  I'm fascinated by the 'plate' dies that are slowly drip feeding onto the market.  They offer such diversity with what you can do with them.  Not only can you just cut them out and stick them over the top of a piece of coloured cardstock for a quick and easy card, but you can be a little more creative and cut out 2 pieces and section them back together like I tediously did here with this one from Neat & Tangled.

I cant speak highly enough of the Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  They are my go-to if I want super vibrant colours and I think that's exactly what I got here.

Supplies used:

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins

DT Teresa - Rainbows 2

Hi There!

We are celebrating all that is colourful this month at Auzz Trinklets and Crafts and I have created a happy 'Rainbow' themed card once again.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110# Smooth Solar White Cardstock for the base which is cut with a paper trimmer at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored with a teflon bone folder at 5 1/2" to make a top folding card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

I used a paper found in the My Favorite Things Party Pattern Paper Pack and backed it with black cardstock before adhering to the card base.

The phone die from Lawn Fawn Selfie Frames was cut from silver foil cardstock and layered with 5 pieces of white cardstock to form a solid frame, using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. The heart was diecut from the Lawn Fawn Magic Slider die set and cut from Yupo Paper that I ran through a Sizzix Sidekick Machine. I coloured the Yupo Paper with Tim Holtz Adirondack Brights Alcohol Ink with each of the colours in rainbow order. I dripped some colour onto the middle of a piece of Yupo cut at 3 1/2" x 5" - first the Watermelon, then Sunset Orange into the middle of the red, as it pushed out the colour, then Sunshine Yellow, again into the middle of the orange, then Citrus followed by Sail Boat Blue and Purple Twilight applied in the same manner.

I adhered the heart with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. The hello sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Magic Color Slider die set was cut from silver glitter cardstock and I stacked the die four times with white cardstock then attached it to the heart, surrounding it with a few small hearts cut from the silver foil cardstock cut with a die from Concord & 9th Happy Balloons die set.

Thankyou for following along with me today. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.

Happy crafting and have a great day!

Teresa

DT Deni - Princesses and Rainbows

Good Morning,

DT Deni with you today and looking forward to sharing my Rainbow post with you today.

I have been wanting to use my new "Once Upon A Time" Stamp set from My Favorite Things, and had some sort of design plan in my head. I went through my stash looking for a Rainbow die and found the "Shooting Star" Die from Lawn Fawn.

I first did a bulk stamping of the images on Mondi Color Copy 250GSM using my Misti Stamping Tool and Memento Tuxedo Black. I actually placed the dies on my Misti and put all the stamps on the dies and then closed the Misti to attach them.. I then stamped them out. Once I was done I placed the dies over the stamped images, popped some tape to hold them still. I do have a magnetic plate on my Sizzix Big Shot however sometimes they do still move and I don't like taking the chance.

Next I coloured up some of the images that I thought that I was going to use for the first card (I wasn't expecting to make two cards at this stage), I then cut the base layer for the images using the Mondi Color Copy 250GSM.. The first card I used My Favorite Things Mini Stitched Scallop Oval Die and on the second card I used the My Favorite Things Mini Stitched Scallop Circle Die

I used Tumbled Glass Mini Distress Ink and a Mini Distress Ink Blender Tool and Blended the top half of the shapes I cut out to create a sky.. I dropped a couple of drops of water on the blend (nothing too major as it isn't water colour paper), then carefully dried it up with a tissue.

Next I started playing with my images to work out what sort of placement I was after. I decided I needed to ground the images a little more so I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Die and some leftover green cardstock.

I attached the images to the background using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. I cut some patterned paper from Doodlebug Design Inc - Springtime paper pad and attached it to some matte layers cut from American Crafts Cardstock. I had some white clouds left over from a previous project - cut from My Favorite Things In The Cloud Die. The Star and rainbow were cut using Lawn Fawn Shooting Star Die and some leftovers from my scraps bin. I added some Nuvo Drops at the end to finish off the project and cover some of the larger water drop marks.

I used Scotch ATG tape to adhere all the bigger layers of my card. Once all the layers were done I then adhered them all to a Twiddleybitz Cardbase. I finished off my card with some Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.

Hi all,
This post is supposed to be "all about the men" but that means it can be about the little men too cant it?

I created this card for a little guy who was turning 9.  I just love the adorable critters by Mama Elephant and they are large enough to get some good colouring onto them too.
I think we rocked it.

DT Rianna ~ Rainbows

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting for the Auzz Trinklets N Crafts blog, I'm so honoured to be a part of Auzz Trinklets N Crafts Design Team and can't wait to show you my creations.

This month's theme is Rainbows and I have a cute colourful card to show you all.

~My Process~

First I used Poppy Crafts 210gsm Premium White Cardstock to cut my card base at 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, and folded it in half. Then I cut my card front at 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches.

I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the circles from Lawn Fawn's "Let's Bokeh" with Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Abandoned Coral, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon). The Stamp Platform is amazing because it lets you stamp repeatedly in the same spot, which is fantastic when using Distress Inks in particular.

I stamped the bear from My Favorite Things "Friends Furever", the paintbrush and pail from Lawn Fawn's "Chirpy Chirp Chirp" and the little rainbow from My Favorite Things "Magical Unicorns" on to watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Tim Holtz Distress Inks are also great for watercolouring, which I did using a regular paintbrush. I added White Blizzard Nuvo Drops to the paint brush and the paint pail. To add dimension to the bear's eyes and nose I went over them with a black Sakura glaze pen.

Using the same watercolour paper, I cut the stitched square from Lawn Fawn's "Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up". I stamped 'YOU COLOR MY WORLD' from Lawn Fawn's "Starry Backdrops" in Versafine Onyx Black, then heat embossed it with WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder. To add some colour I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy).

My card front was adhered to the base using an ATG gun. Art Glitter Clear Adhesive is great for attaching small pieces, like the paintbrush on to the bear's hand. I used X-Press It high tack foam tape to add dimension for the sentiment, bear, pail and rainbow.

DT Teresa - Rainbows

Hello!

Our theme for the month of October is Rainbows!

I chose to use Distress Oxide Inks to lay down my rainbow colours as they blend beautifully. This was important as currently the Oxide range does not yet have an indigo colour, but by blending the colours together, indigo sprang to life!

Using small Tsukineko ink daubers, I blended the Distress Oxide colours in rainbow order - Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet onto Neenah Classic Crest 80# Smooth Solar White Cardstock.

I diecut the balloon, string and tassels from my rainbow cardstock using the Happy Balloons dies from Concord & 9th with a Sizzix Bigshot machine, while the balloon was cut once again, as was the banner and heart from black cardstock. I cut a slither of the rainbow cardstock and two from black and placed them in position onto the cardbase.

I then placed all other elements onto the card using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and punched some small dots to look like confetti and adhered them also.

I paper pieced the balloon and adhered it to the card, adding Ranger Glossy Accents to the heart for shine. I stamped the sentiment from Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Stamp Set and embossed it using Versamark Ink and Ranger Embossing Powder, White after swiping the cardstock with EK Tools Powder Tool to prep the surface.

I placed the banner onto the card with some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape across the middle and Ranger Multi Medium Matte on the ends and after brushing some Zig Wink of Stella onto the balloon, the card was complete.

Thankyou for following along with me today. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.

Happy crafting and have a great day!

DT Deni Friendship and Rainbows

Hi Everyone DT Deni with you this morning.

This month we are working around "Rainbows".. I love rainbows but never seem to create with them, this one actually accidentally came together but i'm happy with it :-)

I also have a You Tube Video of the colouring process here.

I have used a stamp set from My Favorite Things which is new to me but not so new to the store called Much Cuteness.

I have also used Dovecraft Sentiment Stamps (purchased elsewhere)

Everything was inked up using Misti Stamping Tool and Memento Tuxedo Black. I have coloured the images using Prismacolor Pencils - all those will be listed at the bottom of my blog post. I didn't need to mask anything off as the stamps fit into my sentiments perfectly.

I cut them out using My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Stax and Rounded Rectangles. They were cut using Sizzix Big Shot.

I have adhered everything to Doodlebug Springtime 6x6 Pad using Scotch ATG.

I have created the flags using my Cutterbee scissors very carefully (they are super sharp) cutting the banner ends.

I have attached everything to a Twiddleybitz Card Base(no longer available for purchase).
