Christmas Planning with DT Deni

Good Morning :-)

Auzz Trinklets N Crafts This month are playing around with Christmas. I decided to do something new to me and use some of my new stamps to do a layout in my Planner.

I decided for 2018 I was going to move onto a Kikki K Planner, I ordered both a Large and a Personal. My personal is in my handbag and has all my day to day family and personal stuff and my Large I am using for my Design Team stuff and my Card Business. I am thinking about using another Large for my Card orders lol.. not sure if I can make three work yet but we will see how I go.

I wasn't a big fan of the Kikki K Inserts, they just didn't work for me and my needs so I ordered some planner inserts from Chasing Planner Peace, she has an Etsy Page and a Website.

I have used a stamp set from My Favorite Things called Polar Bear Pals & Matching Dies, which I stamped out using Memento Tuxedo Black onto PPS Copier Labels (Full Sheet). I then ran them through my Sizzix Big Shot with the matching dies.

I cut the Simon Says Stamp Winter Snow Word Dies and the My Favorite Things Snow Capped Mountains from American Crafts Cardstock using Sizzix Big Shot.

I coloured all the stamped images using Faber-Castell Polychromos. I have most of those listed below. This was actually my first time using the pencils and I was quite happy with them.

DT Deni - Princesses and Rainbows

Good Morning,

DT Deni with you today and looking forward to sharing my Rainbow post with you today.

I have been wanting to use my new "Once Upon A Time" Stamp set from My Favorite Things, and had some sort of design plan in my head. I went through my stash looking for a Rainbow die and found the "Shooting Star" Die from Lawn Fawn.

I first did a bulk stamping of the images on Mondi Color Copy 250GSM using my Misti Stamping Tool and Memento Tuxedo Black. I actually placed the dies on my Misti and put all the stamps on the dies and then closed the Misti to attach them.. I then stamped them out. Once I was done I placed the dies over the stamped images, popped some tape to hold them still. I do have a magnetic plate on my Sizzix Big Shot however sometimes they do still move and I don't like taking the chance.

Next I coloured up some of the images that I thought that I was going to use for the first card (I wasn't expecting to make two cards at this stage), I then cut the base layer for the images using the Mondi Color Copy 250GSM.. The first card I used My Favorite Things Mini Stitched Scallop Oval Die and on the second card I used the My Favorite Things Mini Stitched Scallop Circle Die

I used Tumbled Glass Mini Distress Ink and a Mini Distress Ink Blender Tool and Blended the top half of the shapes I cut out to create a sky.. I dropped a couple of drops of water on the blend (nothing too major as it isn't water colour paper), then carefully dried it up with a tissue.

Next I started playing with my images to work out what sort of placement I was after. I decided I needed to ground the images a little more so I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Die and some leftover green cardstock.

I attached the images to the background using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. I cut some patterned paper from Doodlebug Design Inc - Springtime paper pad and attached it to some matte layers cut from American Crafts Cardstock. I had some white clouds left over from a previous project - cut from My Favorite Things In The Cloud Die. The Star and rainbow were cut using Lawn Fawn Shooting Star Die and some leftovers from my scraps bin. I added some Nuvo Drops at the end to finish off the project and cover some of the larger water drop marks.

I used Scotch ATG tape to adhere all the bigger layers of my card. Once all the layers were done I then adhered them all to a Twiddleybitz Cardbase. I finished off my card with some Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.

DT Deni Friendship and Rainbows

Hi Everyone DT Deni with you this morning.

This month we are working around "Rainbows".. I love rainbows but never seem to create with them, this one actually accidentally came together but i'm happy with it :-)

I also have a You Tube Video of the colouring process here.

I have used a stamp set from My Favorite Things which is new to me but not so new to the store called Much Cuteness.

I have also used Dovecraft Sentiment Stamps (purchased elsewhere)

Everything was inked up using Misti Stamping Tool and Memento Tuxedo Black. I have coloured the images using Prismacolor Pencils - all those will be listed at the bottom of my blog post. I didn't need to mask anything off as the stamps fit into my sentiments perfectly.

I cut them out using My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Stax and Rounded Rectangles. They were cut using Sizzix Big Shot.

I have adhered everything to Doodlebug Springtime 6x6 Pad using Scotch ATG.

I have created the flags using my Cutterbee scissors very carefully (they are super sharp) cutting the banner ends.

I have attached everything to a Twiddleybitz Card Base(no longer available for purchase).

DT Deni - All About The Men

Hi Everyone!

DT Deni here :-)

Hope all the men in your lives (and those acting as a mutual parent) had a great Father's Day last weekend. I worked all weekend but was able to have dinner with my Dad on Saturday night and celebrated my Fiance's Father's Day with socks and jocks on Sunday night lol. My kids both spent the day with their Dad.

This month we are celebrating "Men and boys", not just Father's but men in general.

I have created a card for a Dad using a Clear stamp from Penny Black and designed by Mo Manning called "Daddy's Shoes". I have loved this stamp for a while and was finally able to get Auzz Trinklets to track it down for me :-)

I die cut a Wonky Window from the My Favorite Things Peek A Boo Wonky Window Die, I wanted to keep the window in one piece so I carefully turned it over and used Scotch Magic Tape across the back. I cut this using Mondi Color Copy.. I was originally planning to stamp over the top and colour with Copic Markers but my idea didn't work out the way I thought it was going to so I had to rethink my design.

I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Friendship Messages clear stamps using Memento Tuxedo Black onto the square inlay, I used the Misti Stamping tool to do this as it was already out on my desk.

I ended up stamping the image separately and carefully fussy cutting (using EK Success Cutterbee scissors) it out so I could attach it over the top of my Wonky Window. I stamped the image using Memento tuxedo black and coloured the image using Copic Markers (listed below)

I cut the DAD letters from Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC's and some scraps of Canson Cardstock using my Sizzix Big Shot.

Patterned papers are from Kaisercraft  On the Move Collection paper pad, all cut using Cutterpillar Pro.

DT Deni - Animals 3

Hi guys,

Dt Deni here,

I was asked by a friend to make some cards for her Aunty and Mum. They just fit the animal theme perfectly so thought I would share them here also. Oh - and I was actually writing down what I was writing while I was making which I don't do normally unless i'm specifically working on something for a Design Team.

Anyway, I used two stamp sets from My Favorite Things, I used Farm-tastic and PI Green Pastures. They worked so perfectly together.

I inked the images up using Memento Tuxedo Black, stamped them using my Misti Stamping Tool on 250GSM Mondi Color Copy.

I coloured the images using Copic Markers which will be listed below with the product list.

I first stamped the PI Green Pastures, I then masked off the sections I was planning on stamping over using Post It Notes. I then stamped the animals (whether it be the Pig or The Chicken), I cut a mask for the animals and then stamped the fence.

I cut the scene out using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Square die on my Sizzix Big Shot.

I then stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Black cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink (I prepped the cardstock first using a Powder Tool), I added the Ranger embossing powder in white and melted it using my heat tool.

Papers are from Kaisercraft Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, the blue cardstock is Canson. I also cut out the blue 50 using the Canson Cardstock MFT Little Numbers. I coated the numbers using Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, everything was attached using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and Scotch ATG.

DT Deni - Animals 2

Hi everyone,

DT Deni here with an animal card featuring Art Impressions Doggy Kisses set.

I also have a video to share on this card - you can see it here.

The images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black on Misti Stamping Tool and after I decided to restart the sentiment I used a Lawn Fawn Acrylic block.

I have coloured the image using Copic Markers (listed below), I have put the card together using papers from Studio Calico Here and There collection.

This card was made for a friend of mine who had surgery recently so I'll be popping it into the mail for her today, sometimes a small gesture can make a world of difference.

Hope you guys have enjoyed all the Design Teams animal projects this month the girls have definitely put on a show for us.

DT Deni - Animals

Good Afternoon Everyone,

DT Deni here today sharing a card with you following on from our theme of "Animals" for the month of August.

I have used a stamp set from Stampendous House Mouse Collection called Cling Balloon Surprise.

The image has been stamped on Mondi Color Copy 250GSM with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink using Misti Stamping Tool (with rubber removed).

I must say how impressed I was with this stamp, I don't think I have ever used any of these stamps previously but the stamping of this image was absolutely spectacular..it was a crisp clean stamp and I was super impressed with the details on the first stamping in that I didn't even need to stamp it a second time.

I coloured up the image using Copic Markers. I did have a Copic Colouring and Process Video but unfortunately lost it all in the editing process, can't even tell you how upset I was :-(, after many days of computer issues I was slightly let down.

**EDIT - How lucky am I!! I found my videos and was able to save them woohoo! So at the moment I have the Copic Colouring process for you here, and the process video here.

So unfortunately this is a quick blog post with not much information as everything was thrown out after the video was made (I will make sure I start writing everything in a book from now on hahah).

Thanks For stopping by,

DT Deni - Monday Focus

Hi Everyone,

DT Deni here with you tonight.

Not a normal monthly DT post here. But some of you may know that I have decided to start trying to make You Tube videos of my colouring and card process. I have finally worked all this out. There is a few little hiccups along the way but I feel like I am getting better and better.
A few people have been awesome and given me feedback on things I can do to make them better. I am hoping in my latest video that I have been able to do exactly that.

My first video - the turtle is horrible! Yes I am being honest hahah. I wasn't sure how to make a you tube video.. I started out videoing in one program and then in a second, this has made my video jump around and the background music cut in and out. **EDITED this video has been removed apparently the music in the background which was part of the editing software was a breach of copyright laws**

Anyway onto the good stuff.. Video 2 is a Copic Colouring video, I have coloured up the My Favorite Things Space Explorer stamp set that I recently received in an order from Auzz Trinklets n Crafts. I'd love for you to pop by my You Tube channel and check it out.

Here is the card I created using the image from Video 1.

Once you have watched it, i'd love for you to watch video number 3 which I have just finished editing tonight. I have made a few improvements on this one - I slowed the video down a little, I added pictures of the completed project at the end, I am focusing on my nerves.. had all my supplies written down so I didnt feel on the spot too much when I was doing the voice over. I have also had my ventolin before talking and concentrated on my breathing haha. I am still struggling a little after being sick two weeks ago. I would love your honest feedback if you think there is something else I can improve on.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again over the next few days as the DT Girls share their "Animal" themed projects. I will see you on Saturday with a project and hopefully another video to go with it.

Dt Deni - Play To Your Strengths 2

Good Morning Everyone,

Another cool day here in Sydney at the moment, my poor little hands are not coping with the cold weather at the moment.. you'd think I was elderly the way I'm not coping haha.. but yep I'm in my thirties...

We are still playing to our strengths this month, of course mine is my Copic Markers, I love them to bits :-)

Today I have a card to share with you. I'm starting to get back into the hang of things here after a dry spell of creativeness. When I say starting to get back into it.. Ive made over 20 cards in the past two weeks which is fantastic. I have just been free crafting (meaning no writing down just products just enjoying the time) which has been awesome!

I created a card for a teacher.. I actually had in my mind to use a "teacher" word die for this card but of course I couldn't find it until i'd finished the card (but I did find the apple whilst searching).

I have used a few My Favorite Things products on this one.. MFT Red Delicious, MFT Straight To The Point Pure Innocence Stamp and I used the star from MFT Rock and Roll die set.. as I couldn't find any of my star dies either.. I have everything sorted in my craft room but a few things are just hiding from me at the moment.

I found a cute leaves patterned paper from Pebbles Party With Amy Locurto - Rainbow paper pad.. this is one of those paper pads i've had for a while.. I keep thinking it's one of those never ending pads but then I remembered i had purchased a few of them lol.

The Pure Innocence stamp I popped into my Misti Stamping Tool and stamped it onto some Mondi Color Copy 250GSM paper using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then cut her out using the matching die on my Sizzix Big Shot.

I coloured her up using Copic Markers. I used E11, E13, E15 for her skin, E71, E71, E74 for her hair. For the shoes and pencil I used C8 and C6 and R24, R29, R89 for the red parts. On the dress and her hair clip I used G40, G43 (I used one more darker marker but I'm unsure of what it was as I must have put it away). On the little book i just used N2, 0.
The Apple was cut using scraps from my leftovers bin, they are more than likely all American Crafts Cardstocks. The banner was cut using MFT Stitched Banners and I stamped a sentiment from the Pure Innocence Straight To The Point Set using Memento Tuxedo Black.
All my plain Cardstock is American Crafts cardstock which are all cut on my Cutterpillar Pro. The cardbase is a pre-made one from Twiddleybitz (I purchased these in bulk many years ago).

At the time of this blog post, this card is still for sale although not listed on my Facebook Page as I am about to do a big overhaul on my page with new pictures etc. (I'm waiting on my new Photobox to arrive). If you are interested feel free to send me a pm on my page. www.facebook.com/angelhandmadepapercraft

DT Deni - Play It To Your Strengths

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to July and Term 2 of our Design Team.

This month to break in the Design Team I thought i'd give the girls a chance to "Play to Your Strengths". So this is what we went with for our theme this month.

I decided my strengths were my Copics so I made a card using both my strengths and my weaknesses. I have never been much for using Distress Inks so I used those also.

I was finally able to get my hands on the "Mermazing" stamp and die sets from My Favorite Things in my last package from Auzz Trinklets N Crafts. I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black in my Misti Stamping Tool, I coloured the gorgeous mermaid and the sea shell up using my Copic Markers and die cut them using the matching dies on my Sizzix Big Shot.

I decided to use the "Sending You Oceans Of Love" sentiment, so I grabbed some scraps of Canson Black cardstock that were sitting on my desk (which I prepped using an embossing buddy) and stamped it using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block. I covered it in Wow Opaque Bright White (Superfine) Embossing Powder, Popped the excess back into the jar using some paper scrap that was on my desk. I then heated the Embossing Powder up using my Heat Tool and trimmed it to size using Tim Holtz 8.5" Trimmer from Tonic Studios. I cut the Flag end using my Cutterbee Scissors, I just cut a slip in the centre and met the corners to the middle creating the flag.

I hadn't really planned this card out like I normally would so at this stage I had no idea what I was doing haha.

I decided a blended background would be nice so I pulled out my Ranger Tim Holtz Embossing Inks and my Mini Ink Blending Tool. I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans to blend on some Mondi Color Copy. I added some splashes of water using Ranger Mini Mister, which I lightly dabbed back off using paper towel.

I then cut a circle out of the blended piece using Stitched Circle Dies from Lawn Fawn. I attached the images and the sentiment to the circle using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive and Scotch ATG.

Next was time to find some matching paper.. which I actually didn't end up doing.. I decided to make some to match.

I pulled out my Mermazing stamp set and My Favorite Things Hybrid Inks and started stamping onto Mondi Color Copy and creating a background paper. I used Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green. The paper still looked like it was missing something so I used the Avery Elle That Bites stamp set and grabbed the little bubbles image and added some of those in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

I cut a black square using Canson Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares dies on my Sizzix Big Shot, I then added the patterned paper using Scotch ATG and then added the circle (with images and sentiment attached) using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. I used some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on the shell in her hair and the extra shell. I added Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to the Mermaid and added some sequins to the water.

Once all the layers were complete I added them to a pre-made Twiddleybitz card base using Scotch ATG. On the inside of the card I used another black stitched square from Canson cardstock. I added a strip of the leftover blended cardstock to the bottom, used left over images from my die cuts, stamped some of the plant images to the corner. I then stamped the sentiment to bottom to finish it off.

DT Deni - June Stencils

Good Morning Everyone,

DT Deni with you today, we have been creating with Stencils this month, the girls have done such a great job with their projects and I am excited to share mine with you for the second time this month.

The stencil I have chosen to use today is from My Favorite Things and is called Stencil Star Grid.

I have done things a little backwards for my project today and found a stencil I wanted to use first and then went looking for stamps and things to use.

I received a rather large package from Auzz Trinklets N Crafts this past week and this stamp set I have used is from this package.. not very often I get to use a product so quickly.

What I wanted to show you in this picture is the big boo boo I made hahah. After I finished masking and stamping all my images I must have somehow got some ink on my hand, it was all over the side of my image, lucky I was able to re-diecut it using a smaller die.. but I still had a little on the right hand side of the card.. I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Black to try and hide it.. I'm sure my Dad probably won't even notice but since I am so critical on my own work it will drive me crazy :-)

DT Deni - All About Mum

Hello lovely followers,

Well the month of May is beginning to wind down, I can't believe how fast this month has gone!

I have had a lot of personal stuff going on this past month, including lots of Wedding Planning and also resigning from my day job this week ready for a fresh start elsewhere.

The Month of May to us is all about our Mum's and the Motherly figures in our lives. I am very lucky to have an awesome Mum and a fantastic Mother in Law to be.

I created this card with two sisters in mind to give their Mum, the image just made me think of two sisters hugging.

I started off by stamping the image - "Stamping Bella Huggy Squidgies" using a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block and Memento Tuxedo Black and used Mondi Color Copy for my blending cardstock.

I then cut it out on my Sizzix Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die (i'm not sure if it was from the small or large set as mine are all in the same package).

It was then time to go and find some patterned papers, I used a 6x6 Paper pad from Crate Paper, there is no name on the pad but there is a number #680203. I was nearly finished this paper pad so I only had a few papers to use but I made it work.

I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Square die (unsure if it was a small or large as again these are all packaged together) to cut one of the sheets of patterned paper using my Sizzix Big Shot.

I cut the black matting using Canson Cardstock on my Cutterpillar Pro. I cut the bird patterned paper to size and attached it to the black matting. I cut the strip using leftovers, the Loopy border is from La La Land Crafts August 2015 Stamp Club Kit (no long available), you can purchase this separately now (links below).

I used Lawn Fawn "Mom + Me" Stamp set to stamp the sentiment. I used my Embossing Buddy to prep the canon cardstock strip first, I then used Versamark Watermark stamp pad to stamp the sentiment and applied Ranger Superfine Embossing Powder in White, I then grabbed my Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder.

All layers were then adhered together using Scotch ATG and Tombow Mono Multi (I switch between the two for different layers). I then adhered all the layers down onto a Pre-made Twiddleybitz Card Base.

Once I thought the card was completed I decided something was missing, so I used the Lawn Fawn "Mom + Me" Stamp set to stamp the grass and the butterflies. I used My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink in Sour Apple, Razzle Berry and Lemon Drop. I then added At You Spica - Clear over the butterflies and the girls shoes.

May - Mother's Day DT Deni

Good Morning All,

With the month of May hitting its middle, we are enjoying celebrating our Mum's and Mum figures throughout the entire month.

I have created a card for a Special Mum using a stamp set from Newton's Nook called Raccoon Rascals, I thought about thinking outside the box instead of the usual flower image cards.

I stamped the image onto Mondi Color Copy (you can use X-Press it blending card or anything else Copic friendly), which is my go to Copic Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block.

I fussy cut the image using Cutterbee Scissors, and inked around the edge using a double ended Tombow marker.

I stamped the word "Mum" using Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABC's and Memento Tuxedo Black.

I then started thinking about my card layout.. I found an almost finished paper pad in my stash from Prima called Bohemian Bamboo (an old stock item from Auzz Trinklets) and some thin cardboard which was from some packaging, i cut this up into a few sizes and started putting those layers together using Scotch ATG.

Next i decided i was going to add a big circle to my card using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle dies, i attached the Raccoon's using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive, then stamped the sentiment using MFT Simply Fab Sayings, I stamped this in my Misti as i knew because of the layers i would need to re-stamp the sentiment.

I added some Nuvo Drops to finish the card off and that's it ;-)

Thanks For stopping by and we hope to see you again soon.

Shabby 2 with DT Deni

Good Morning Everyone,

DT Deni with you today, sharing a Boy Shabby.

I have created an oversized bookmark for a friends child to use as he is an avid reader :-)

I have used two MFT stamp sets, Fall Friends - of all the images and an older set called Bookmark Duo and Stamps - for the circle quote. Everything has been stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers.

I have added some off colour lace from my stash to give it the shabby look and some twine to the top.

I have cut the tag shape from MFT Blueprints 9 using my Sixxix Big Shot.

All items have been attached using either Tombow Mono Multi or ATG.

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is having a safe Easter Long Weekend. Don't forget to do your craft shopping at www.atcraft.com.au

DT Deni - Shades of Green Post 2

Hi guys, DT Deni here..

I am a little late with my blog post this week as I've had a lot going on.

My Boyfriend and I took a few days away from our lives and went on a little trip just the two of us to The Whitsundays. While we were on Whitehaven Beach my partner proposed to me :-) It was absolutely perfect and he couldn't have done it in a more beautiful spot.
So now i'm organising a wedding on top of some family stuff that is going on.. hence me totally losing the plot and forgetting my blog post lol.

So here goes..

I have used a stamp set (new to me) from Lawn Fawn called Thanks a Bushel. I loved this stamp set but I wasn't sure how I would use it. I decided to make my youngest sons Teacher a card of him to give to her just to show our appreciation for all that she does.

Normally we would do red apples for a teacher, but I decided to go green and use it for my Design Team project.

I grabbed some Mondi Color Copy scraps that I had sitting in my tub, then had a quick think about what i was going to do..

I decided I wanted to add the single apples also, so I stamped those using Memento Tuxedo Black using Lawn Fawn Acrylic Blocks onto Post It tape and fussy cut them out. I stamped the two single apples on the left and right (don't forget you always stamp the images u want in front first), I then placed my two post it note apples on top of the stamp images and then stamped the apple basket. At the last minute i decided to stamp all the little faces onto the apples which just turned out so cute.

I then coloured up all the apples using Copic Markers (listed below). I cut the stitched square using Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares dies.

I stamped the sentiment word "Thanks" onto the square using Memento Tuxedo Black and I then stamped the rest of the sentiment using Versamark Watermark Ink onto some Canson Black Card Stock (I did use my embossing buddy before stamping) which I just cut to size on my trimmer. I then added some Wow Opaque White Embossing Powder to the sentiment and melted it using my Heat Gun.

I cut the mats using American Crafts and Canson Cardstock, I couldn't find a patterned paper i liked for this card so i decided to make my own and stamp the apples all over a square mat of the Mondi Color Copy. I attached all the layers onto a Twiddleybitz Card Base using my ATG.

I had so much fun making this card and hope I have inspired you to think outside of the box.

DT Deni - March Shades Of Green

Hi Everyone,

DT Deni here with you today on the Auzz Trinklets blog, this month we are playing with "All Shades Of Green". We didn't want to focus on St Pats Day so we thought why not think outside of the box.

Front of card

Inside of card

I have created a card today using a stamp set from Newton's Nook called Magical Dreams. This is a pretty new company to me so I was quite excited to try them out. They are a clear stamp set which i love as it allows me to see exactly what and where I am stamping. You just attach them to an Acrylic Block/Misti or Stamp Press, stamp and ink away.

I attached the image to a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block, inked the stamp up using Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped it onto some Mondi Color Copy 200gsm cardstock. I knew I was planning on Fussy Cutting the image so i just used some leftovers from another project.

I coloured the image up using Copic Markers (listed below) then coated the light green sections using Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. I then grabbed my Cutterbee Scissors (these scissors are perfect for fussy cutting) and fussy cut the image out.

My friend sent me some Sketches to have a play with as I've been in a bit of a creative slump at the moment, so that's what i was using while making this card - ill try and post a link if i can find where she got it from.
Next i went hunting through all my papers to find a few matching "Green" papers to make my card come to life. I found a 6x6 paper pad from American Crafts called Autumn Crisp which had exactly what i was looking for.

I cut a matt 12.5x12.5 matt from Green Cardstock in my leftovers tub (i actually cut two, one for the inside of the card also), I then cut a 12x12 matt from American Crafts white cardstock, and then a 11.5x11.5 square from the pattern paper. Cutting a matt inbetween the green and the pattern just breaks it up a little. I also cut a 11.5 square from another pattern paper from the paper pad and used the leftovers to cut the strip for the front of the card (i used the square on the inside)

I then grabbed my Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles (unsure whether i used the L or S as i have them altogether) and cut a circle from the Largest die from the inside of the green matt i cut earlier.. I used the matt as i knew it would not show from under the white layer and meant i got more use out of all my papers. I then used the next size down circle die to cut a white layer. I used more leftovers out of my tub for this layer.
Next I grabbed some leftover black cardstock, used my Powder Tool to remove the static and using a small Acrylic Block from Lawn Fawn and Versamark Watermark ink pad i used one of the sentiments from the stamp set, Superfine White Embossing Powder from Wow and then heated it up using my heat gun. I then used my trimmer to cut it into a thin strip for the front of my card.

This is now where I wasn't sure what I was going to do, as sitting all the layers together it just seemed like it was missing something. I decided to use the magic wand and the potion bottle to stamp the background of the white circle I had cut (using Memento Tuxedo Black). I then used a little grey Copic Marker to add some shading to the potion bottles.

The card still needed a little something more.. so I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops to finish the card off... Now here is where I made a big mistake.. Silly me decided to work on the inside of my card and accidentally knocked it completely open and made all my drops flat lol... so I carefully used my piercing tool to scrape them up and redo them.. So please be careful and make sure they are completely dry before opening your card.

DT Clarinda - Romance 2nd post

Hello Everyone!!

It is DT Clarinda here with my second contribution for February. This months theme is Romance. So with that in mind, it is my 20th wedding anniversary next month so I thought I would take this opportunity to make my hubby an anniversary card to celebrate.

Here are a couple of photos that show most of the items I used. I will list them all at the end of the post.

I began by stamping the image (whimsy stamps - bird swing) onto watercolour paper using Memento angel pink ink so that the image would have a 'no lines' finished look. I then painted the image using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours - I have many different watercolour sets, but this is by far my favourite. The background was painted using a wash of Lindys colour spray - Merci beaucoup mint.

I then ran this through the bigshot using a circle die. I cut a frame using a round rose frame die (unbranded)  and glued them to my backing sheet which came from the Magnolia Lane paper collection from ultimate crafts. The large pink flowers started out white. I used the wicking method to colour them with bubblegum pink dylusions ink spray and then added glossy accents to the petals and rubbed them in ultrafine glitter.

I like to adhere bulky items to cards and LO's using the Finnabair 3D matte gel. It dries clear but flexible so will not crack off if the card is bent. I cut a small piece of cheesecloth and died it with Lindys stamp gang spray in curiouser chartreuse. I also edged the yellow flowers using Dr PH Martins Bombay ink in white.  I then stuck it all down.

I finished it off by inking all the edges in Versa Magic chalk ink - Persimmon and Oasis Green and Kaisercraft ink in Berry and backing it in a matching colour. I then added the words LOVE YOU using washi tape by recollections.

Thank - you for visiting, see you next month.

Clarinda xx
