DT Ness - Stars and Spots on a canvas

Hi all DT Ness back again....

This month we are playing along with the theme of Stars and Spots. (or Circles).  

For my project I decided to work on a canvas. 

I have used star dies, old rub ons, paints, walnut ink and dew drops in both 6mm and 8mm. (available at Auzz Trinklets N Kraft)

The dew drops are just beautiful and add extra dimension to your project.

They Can be easily attached with strong glue (I used 450). 

Another tip, for all of us that have old rub ons that usually don't work properly, or rub ons with left over letters or designs. Use them on your backgrounds of your projects for added texture. It doesn't matter if the whole design works out.

DT Ness - July Journalling Page

Hi Everyone,

DT Ness here again with a July project for Auzz Trinklets N Krafts.

For my project this month I got out my Dylusions Paints, LOVE LOVE them. They come in 24 stunning colours and are just delicious to play with. 

I found one of the easiest ways to play with these paints is to dip a baby wipe into the paint and start blending on your paper or canvas. You can use this wipe also with Stencils on your page, to add extra layers.

DT Ness - Prima Moulds & Paperclay = "Love"

Hi all DT Ness here, 

I am very excited to be sharing with you my first project as a new team member at  Auzz Trinklets N Krafts

Here is my most recent experimenting....I really enjoyed these new moulds from Prima, there were easy to use and really beautiful designs.

I tried a few different brands of paperclay and had different results. The one I found I had better results with was Creative Paperclay. 

Some brands dried fairly "chalky" and broke easy, where as Creative Paperclay dried with a more plasticine feel and came out of the moulds easily. The clay usually dries overnight, but found I tried a few other ways of speeding up the drying process from a zap in the microwave, to time in the freezer. Once dried I filed the edges then painted with Prima "Artsian" powders and Finnabar Mica Powders.

The Prima Artsian powders really give the clay a metal look.
