Make It With Scraps Friday - Once upon a time with DT Deni

Hi Everyone!!

Sorry it's been a little while since I have done any posting, school holidays are finished in a few days so my boys will be back to school and hopefully that means me back to work.

Today I have created a card using an image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Lil Ballerina, it is one of my favourite images.

I have coloured the image using Copic Markers, unfortunately I will not have those listed today as I coloured this image quite a while ago and it was added to my container of images. Sometimes I sit in bed and colour up in bulk while watching tv. I also always print a full page of images when using digital stamps to make use of my paper, so always have a few extras sitting around awaiting colouring.

Products Used On This Card

Memory Box - Virtuoso Music
Memory Box - Corner Bow
My Favorite Things  Die-namics - Stacking Stars
Poppy Stamps - Vintage Bird Cage
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tea Dye
Sponge Dauber
Martha Stewart Leaf (m) Punch
EK Success Mini Punch
Kaisercraft Cardstock

Papers are all from my stash of leftovers

You can find a few of these items over at the Auzz Trinklets Website.

Make It A Card Tuesday - DT Deni

Hi Everyone!

I have a card today for Auzz Trinklets N Krafts , this is a Make it A Card Tuesday.

Sorry it's been a little while with my posting, I have been swamped at work and coming home either stressed or tired or sometimes even both. So unfortunately that means no crafting :-(

I did manage 2 cards during the week for an order so im going to share one of those with you today and another on Thursday.

For the first card I have used a Digital Image from Digi Stamp Boutique called Sports Car Alf.

I have used papers from a Kaisercraft paper collection called On the Move. I have also used Coloured Cardstock from Kaisercraft and Canson.

The alphas are cut using Memory Box Parker Upper Alphabet Set. The numerals are cut using the matching Parker Numerals Set.
The brads used in the corners of the card are from Prima.

I have coloured the image using Copic Markers.

Everything is cut using my Cutterpillar Pro, attached using X-Press it Double Sided Tape. The dies were cut using Cricut Cuttlebug.

Make It With Scraps Friday - DT Deni

Hi Everyone,

Deni back again :-) today is Friday which means it's make it with scraps day, so I challenge you to make something using scraps only.. or majority scraps I will be happy with.

We don't have any official challenges on at the moment, but if you want to make something and leave a comment with a link we will definitely come and check out what you have made and leave you some love on your blog :-)

Today I have made a pretty quick card as we had my youngest son's athletics carnival yesterday and have just run out of time.. thankfully I already had this image coloured up so it was one less step I needed to worry about.

I have coloured the image up using Copic Markers purchased from Craft-a-Lot. The stamp is Jolly Santa from Whimsy Stamps, Auzz Trinklets N Krafts may be able to order this for you, it is an older stamp but I don't think it is discontinued. I no longer have this stamp but had a few stamped out in my image box so will be finishing those off and then maybe replacing my stamp.. not sure what happened to it.

I have used papers leftover from other Christmas cards this week, they are from a Kaisercraft paper collection called Santa's List.

The Sentiment is from CC Designs, Amy R Stamps. I will pop the link in when I get a chance for that. I have stamped them in My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. They have been stamped onto X-Press it Blending Card.

I have adhered everything using X-Press it double sided tape and also a little Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. The ribbon is from my stash. The little mitten's are a Memory Box Die. I have inked up using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.

Thanks for stopping by,

We hope to see you back here again soon

Washi Tape Wednesday - DT Sarah-Jane

Hi, Sarah-Jane here again, this time to share some techniques........

Washi Tape, we all have some and if any of you are anything like me you probably have way too much! Last count I had 236 rolls of Washi Tape and that number grows every week! Here is just a small selection of my many rolls......

I am not sure how many rolls are in this triple layered jar, but I do know that I need another 2-3 more jars just to hold my stash!

Anyway, every week I will be publishing a short post with different things you can do with Washi Tape. There are so many possibilities, they are literally endless........

This week I am going to show you how Washi Tape can be used in place of patterned paper and then put through your favourite die-cut machine to produce interesting elements for scrapbooking and card making. Here is what I came up with:

All of the elements on each of the cards is made using Washi Tape stuck to plain white card stock to give the tape a base, and to add some thickness.

Card #1 - Hello

As you can see in the picture below the balloon was made by putting strips of yellow chevron, solid black, wood looking Washi Tape onto a piece of white card stock then putting it through my Big Shot. The Balloon was also adhered using foam squares to make it 3D, so that it pops off the card a little.

Card #2 - Love

This card was made again by sticking lines of Washi Tape to card stock and then running it through my big shot. I used foam squares to adhere the word "love" to the frame and the same with the small black frame in the top corner. Both lots of black elements are covered with Glossy Accents to give them some shine and dimension.

Card #3 - Ho Ho Ho!

This final card was again done the same way with one exception, instead of cutting shapes with my big shot (the letters were cut using a die) I cut 2 long strips and cut reverse triangles in the end to make layered flags.

Materials Used:

Card #1 - Kaisercraft Alphabet Die, Memory Box Hot Air Balloon and Marshmallow Clouds Dies, and Papercraft Foam Squares.

Card #2 - Kaisercraft Alphabet and Nesting Frames Dies, Papercraft Foam Squares and Glossy Accents.

Card #3 - Kaisercraft Alphabet Die, and Papercraft Foam Squares.

So you can see how easy it is to make quick and easy embellishments from something as simple as Washi Tape. Check out Auzz Trinklets N Krafts online store to see all the beautiful rolls of Washi Tape that Neha has to offer. Beware, if you are not already addicted to Washi Tape then you soon will be!

Caio for now!
