DT Teresa - Stencils 2

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing another card using a stencil, our theme for this month of June.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock for the base which is cut with a paper trimmer at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored with a teflon bone folder at 5 1/2" to make a top folding card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

I started by taping down a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to my work surface with masking tape to keep in place while I worked (but could be easily removed when finished) and taped down a 6" x 6" Crafter's Workshop stencil Tiny Circles over the top of the cardstock.

I mixed together in a bowl a small amount of Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste in white with a few drops of Distress Ink in Lucky Clover from a refill bottle and some emerald green glitter. I then used a palette knife to evenly apply the paste to the stencil. Once covered, I removed the stencil and immediately placed it into a basin of soapy water to be washed off later and set the stenciled cardstock aside to dry.

The beautiful image was created using Hero Arts Color Layering Peacock. The peacock was stamped with different colours of Hero Arts mid-tone Shadow Ink. The solid body was stamped with Pool, the tail with Emerald Green, the layered feathers on the body and tail and the legs in Navy and the eyes in the tail and beak were stamped with Lemon Yellow. I diecut the peacock and set it aside.

I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with an ink blending tool to add colour to a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Solar White Cardstock and diecut it with the rectangle die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 21 and adhered it to the card base with Kokuyo Glue Tape Roller.

Once the stenciled cardstock piece was dry, I diecut a circle from it with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles die. I used Simon Says Stamp Cardstock Soft Navy to diecut a circle only marginally larger to tuck behind the stenciled circle piece and adhered both to the cardfront.

The sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy was cut apart and positioned to stamp in Hero Arts mid-tone Shadow Ink, Navy, with a Misti Stamping Tool onto a strip of cardstock, along with flourishes from the Hero Arts Color Layering Peacock stamp set.

I diecut multiple copies of the peacock shape and glued them as a stack to create a chipboard-type piece and placed the stamped image on top. I then stuck the sentiment piece to the card and glued the peacock on top before brushing A Wink of Stella, Clear, onto each of the yellow areas for some shimmer.

Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.

Happy crafting and have a great day!

Teresa

DT Clarinda - Mothers Day card - ssshhhh don't tell

Hi peeps,

This time I have what I think is a gorgeous card for Mothers Day. I have used watercolour paint to paint in an inked image. It was fairly simple but I love the finish it gives and the messy way it looks. I hope you enjoy it.

I began by cutting out the outside frame using Spellbinders dies - Triple floral using the largest die, I cut this from a piece of cardstock (with a print on the other side) and then sprayed with Lindy's sprays in various colours to give a watercolour look. Once that was dry, I used glossy accents to adhere small bling gems to the centre of each flower.

I then cut the inner two pieces of watercolour cardstock using the next die down in the set. the inner square frame I covered in crystallina glitter glue and used that to stick down pieces of Stampendous Frantage Shaved Ice to give that holographic look. Once that was dry I covered the entire square frame in glossy accents so that it has a glass appearance.

The stamps were stamped onto watercolour cardstock using archival ink. The stamp set I used was Happy Birds by CTMH. I then painted them using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour pigments using a 'wet in wet' watercolour technique to ensure the colours bled into each other.
Once the front was complete I used a Spellbinders Labels 4 die to cut the shape for the inside sentiment.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Until next time.

DT Clarinda - a shabby card for you

Hello everyone,

Welcome to April! This months theme is "Shabby" so I have made a very quick and easy card to share. This is a good one for those occasions where you need a pretty card in a hurry, and it doesn't require too many bits and pieces to make.

Here is a picture of the items I used....

Firstly I chose my background papers from the Magnolia Lane collection by Ultimate Cragfts and cut them to size. The biggest one was cut to match my card base then the other two were made slightly smaller. As I was assembling the card I decided on an extra layer which is not in this picture... I then roughened up the edges (I use my stanley knife, but there are lots of distressing tools available) and I edged them lightly with Distress ink in Vintage photo.

Once that was done I began making the flowers. For this I used paper by prima and my minds eye. Once I cut the flower petals in multiple sizes using Rose Creations by Spellbinders I inked the edges with Versa Magic Chalk ink in Pink Petunia for the flowers, and the leaves in Hint of Pesto.  Once inked I used my foam piercing mat by We R Memory Keepers and my petal shaping tools to give the petals and leaves shape.

I then glued them all together using Glossy Accents. Once dry I added assorted beads into the centres and adhered them with Glossy Accents. Then I layered them all together and added a sentiment from another sheet of the Magnolia Lane paper collection. I also added a lace doily from stampin up to finish it off.

Thank you, I hope you enjoyed this post :)
Till next time.

Make it A Card Tuesday - DT Deni - I am Mad Hatter about you Mum

Hi Everyone!

Deni here :-)

I am back with another Make It A Card Tuesday for Auzz Trinklets N Krafts.

Today I have used a stamp from La La Land Crafts called Mad Hatter Luka, he is from the Alice In Wonderland range which I absolutely love :-)

I have coloured him up with Copic Markers however he is one of the ones I had previously coloured and was sitting in my container of images so I do not have a list for you.

I had a lot of fun making this card.. although I need to change up my layout a little bit more as ive been noticing I seem to be falling back on the same one all the time.

I have matted all the layers using American Crafts Cardstock as well as Canson Cardstock. The papers are all from the same Paper Pad - Pebbles Party with Amy Locurto Rainbow.
I added some bling from Kaisercraft and twine from my stash.

I have cute the label shape using a Spellbinders die - Labels Eighteen and have attached sentiment from Digi Stamp Boutique. I have used a pierced flag die from My Favorite Things Pierced Fishtail Flags to cut the sentiment out.

Hope you guys like my card and I appreciate you stopping by,

Make it a Card Tuesday - DT Deni - Young at Heart

Good Morning :-)

It's Auzz Trinklets N Krafts time again, today is Make it A Card Tuesday.

I have recently asked on my business facebook page for people's suggestions on images/ themes they would like to see more of or if there is something in particular they think I should make.

I had a few suggestions.. older boy cards, male cards that are not golf related, bmx, minecraft and lego.. I sat down and had a look through all my images that I have purchased in digital, and also looked through my images that I have in the container next to my desk. I found this one that I had printed out previously and for some reason he was never coloured up or used..

I couldn't quite remember who designed him so I went back to my digital stamps again and found him.. I somehow spelt everything (yes everything..) wrong in the search comments for him lol. must have been having a bad day haha.

Anyways, so he is Grillin' George from Digital Delights by Louby Loo, he is coloured with Copic Markers.

Make It a Card Thursday - DT Deni - Cheers to 50

Hi Everyone!

DT Deni here..

Today is Thursday, that makes it Make it a card Thursday for Auzz Trinklets N Krafts.

I have created a card today for an order, so it has been personalised as such. I have used an image from Kenny K called Happy Hour.

I started by printing the image on Mondi Color Copy 250gsm, I then coloured up the image using Copic Markers. I fussy cut the top of her head so it will pop out from over the die and not get chopped off. I then cut it into a circle shape using Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Small.
I cut another out of Canson Cardstock using the next largest circle in the set. I also needed a size inbetween but didn't have another circle to fit, so I traced the die I used on the image and fussy cut this out.

I inked up the edges of all of the circles using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, I also stamped Tim Holtz Clear Stamps - French Market around the outside of the image using the same ink.

I then used my Scotch ATG to adhere them all together.

I cut 3 mats for the base of my card, one in Kaisercraft Sea Breeze, one from Canson Coloured Cardstock and one from Kaisercraft Fairytales paper pad. I inked all these up using the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and adhered them all together. I then cut smaller mats in all of the above and inked the edges again.

I adhered the smaller square mats (after all adhered together) on an angle on top of the larger mats on an angle.

I then adhered the sea breeze coloured ribbon onto a white ribbon with frills and then wrapped this around both sets of matting.

Next I added a Kaisercraft doily, on top of that I cut a small piece of d.Line Cheesecloth and adhered it. I then added the circle mattings. I cut some banners from My Favorite Things Blueprints 2, inked them up and added them to the top of my card. On another of the banners I stamped the name of the recipient using Lawn Fawns Riley's ABC's using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I then used a smaller Spellbinders Circle Die to cut a circle from Canson Coloured Cardstock, I inked up the edge and stamped the number 50 using Memento Tuxedo Black and Lawn Fawn's Quinn's 123's. I then adhered this to the top corner.

I cut more mats and banners and added them to the inside of the card. I added my personalised label to the back of the card, popped the card and envelope into a clear cello card pocket and done :-)

Here is a list of everything used on the card.
