Marshmallows by the fire - DT Deni

Hi Everyone,

I am playing a little catch up with card blogging at the moment, My son had surgery two weeks ago which has taken most of my tlc.

Today I have a card share for Auzz Trinklets n Crafts using a stamp set from My Favorite Things called Warm and Fuzzy Friends.

I stamped the images using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink in Black Licorice and stamped them onto Canson Watercolor Cardstock using Misti Stamping Tool.

I colored all the images using Zig Clear Color Markers, I think this was actually the first time I had used them, still not 100% Happy, but like anything new they need practice.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Black Canson Cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block.

I added Wink Of Stella Clear to the fire to make it look a little hotter. then adhered the images using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

I cut some clouds using a My Favorite Things Puffy Cloud Die and the circle frame I cut by taping two My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Dies together and running them through Sizzix Big Shot. I used leftover pieces from Mondi Color Copy cardstock that was on my desk. Patterned paper is also scraps that were leftovers on my desk.

I adhered all the layers onto a Twiddleybitz Card base (no longer available to purchase).

DT Teresa - Mother's Day

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a cheerful card for Mother's Day, our theme for the month of May.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock for the base which is cut with a paper trimmer at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored with a teflon bone folder at 5 1/2" to make a top folding card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Circle Doodle Background in Versamark Ink onto a piece of  5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Strathmore Bristol Cardstock after using the EK Tools Powder Tool to guard against stray embossing powder. I then covered the stamped background with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the powder with a Wagner Heat Tool

I then chose colours of the rainbow from my collection of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and painted the rings of the circles on the card in ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) order and I threw pink in there too, for good measure! I lay down a small amount of each colour in a ring and then blended out the colour using a Zig Wink of Stella Brush Marker which created a shimmer all over the card. The shine of the embossing powder and shimmer on the colour looks beautiful, but difficult to capture in a photograph.

I die cut butterflies using Pretty Pink Posh Blissful Butterflies Coordinating Dies from the coloured cardstock, once it had dried and with the same die I also cut some butterflies from a black foam sheet using the Sizzix Big Shot Machine. I allowed the foam cut butterflies sit over night to allow them to bounce back into shape after being compressed in the Bigshot Machine before adhering them to the bottom of the coloured butterflies with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I cut a triangle away from the coloured piece and adhered it with Kokuyo Glue Tape Roller to the bottom of the left hand side of the card front and cut a strip of Simon Says Stamp Cardstock in Doll Pink and two thin black cardstock strips to run down the length of the triangle. On to the pink strip, I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Message Me in Versamark Ink and embossed it with Ranger Embossing Powder, White and placed the three strips on to the card front using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I placed Auzz Trinklets N Crafts Dew Drops 6mm on either side of the sentiment, again using Ranger Multi Medium Matte, which is not at all visible under the clear domes once it has dried. The foam-raised butterflies were then placed onto the card front.

To complete the card, I cut black cardstock into a card front-sized rectangle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 16 with the Sizzix Bigshot and then lay the rectangle die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13, ensuring it was centred onto the larger die cut rectangle and ran it through the Bigshot once again. This left me with a narrow frame which I glued onto the card as a finishing touch.

Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.

Happy crafting and have a great day!

DT Teresa – All About the Girls!

Hello Everyone, welcome to my first DT project with Auzz Trinklets n Krafts – I am thrilled to be sharing projects with you over the coming months!

The card I am sharing today features the fabulous stamp set Trouble in a Tutu, by Clearly Besotted. These hippos are so fun with their leaping, twisting and twirling ways!

I love a sturdy card base when creating dimensional cards, so I tend to use a heavyweight cardstock.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Paper for the base which is cut at 4 ¼" x 11" and scored at 5 ½" to make a top folding card of 5 ½" x 4 ¼".

I cut a layer from Strathmore Bristol cardstock using a die from Blueprints 27, by My Favorite Things. Bristol has a perfectly smooth surface which makes it great for stamping and handles Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers very well.

I placed the cut piece into my (Original) MISTI stamping tool, fitting it snugly into the bottom left hand corner and arranged the three Clearly Besotted hippo stamps at the bottom and two hippo stamps at the top onto the cardstock, before closing the lid of the MISTI to take up the stamps.

The stamps were then inked with Simon Says Stamp black dye ink. I stamped twice with the MISTI to ensure the outline of the images were precise and then stamped these images onto Inkadinkadoo Stamping Mask Paper and fussy cut each hippo closely against the image. After placing the masks of each hippo over the images stamped onto the Bristol cardstock, I placed the piece back into the MISTI stamping tool and inked up a background stamp, Tiny Birthday Cling Background, from The Ton with Lawn Fawn ink, Merman. Again, I stamped this twice for a darker impression.
I stamped the sixth hippo onto a separate piece of cardstock and after removing the masks from the hippos (tadaaa!), I coloured them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto the layering piece and also stamped the banner with Simon Says Stamp black dye ink onto a piece of textured cardstock from my stash, which matched nicely with the Lawn Fawn Merman ink.

The sixth hippo and banner were die cut with the co-ordinating dies from the Clearly Besotted Trouble in a Tutu die collection with my Sizzix Bigshot Machine. I placed the banner onto the layering piece and then the layering piece onto the card base using 3M Scotch Double-Sided Foam Tape. The sixth hippo was adhered onto the banner with Ranger Multi Medium Matte as was the sweet tiny heart I pulled from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards, in Phosphorescence. As a finishing touch, I added Tsukineko-Irresistible Shimmer Pico Embellisher to the bow of each hippo to add some glitter and shine.

Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Krafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.
Happy crafting and have a great day!
