Build a Flower begonia
Many thanks Stamps

Steps:
For my background I have created a video for you all to have a look how I created that.

For my colouring:
I have used Citrus Burst and Purple wine to Colour my flowers and for my leaves I have used Citrus Burst with sweet leaf.

Putting Together:
For my base I cut a black piece of card stock which is 4.25'x 5.5' and stuck the back ground which I created and is slightly smaller than black.
Then I arranged all flowers and Leaves the way I wanted .
One of the flower which is on the top is stuck with the foam tape to give dimensions.
I heat embossed word thanks with white embossing powder, for the stamp I have used thank you word from the set called Many Thanks.
I have also used couple of water drops to give it a fresh look .

Mixed media Art with Helmar Woodworking Glue

Hello everyone,
Today I am on Helmar blog with their woodworking glue. I am falling in love with these Helmar glue.
For the past couple of weeks I have been creating this mixed media project for Helmar and I liked the way I can use this glue to stick my heavy object just like you can do with Helmar450. The glue dies clear which is plus point for any mixed media project.
Here is what I have created.
This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 97088885_2758293967824457_3704686554413793280_n-1024x853.jpg
Materials to make this photo frame:
  • Clay
  • moulds of items you want make to stick on the frame
  • photo frame
  • helmar wood working glue
  • Sprays ( I have used a varity of them like shimmers, lindy's and Prims
  • Finnabar Alchemy's
  • Gold wax
  • Black gesso
  • Brushes
Steps:
  • First I used some clay and mould to get my shapes out. I left them to dry overnight.
  • Next day I arranged all pieces and stuck them with the help of Helmar Woodworking Glue

  • Once they were all stuck , I had some stone stand which I bought from a dollar shop. I stuck them all over my frame too with the help of the Helmar woodworking glue.

  • Once I have finished I leaf the frame to dry overnight.
  • Next day I went ahead and coloured everything with Black gesso
  • After the gesso was dried , I coloured and also used sprays.

Then to finish off my project I have used Inka gold to brush on top for final touches.

And this was the final result.

Hope you all like it.

Please do leave me a comment.
Thanks

Altenew Creative Watercolor Media

Hi Everyone,

Today I am here to show one more project for Altenew.  For this purpose I have selected another one of my favorite Class Creative watercolour Media.

For this project I wanted to try and improve my coloring techniques by using the Altenew Watercolour Palette  and Altenew Water brush Pens.

I have used the stamp sets Build-A-Flower: Anemone Coronaria and for the sentiment I chose my "happy" word from the Script Words 2. " for you" is from the halftone happy stamp set.

Basic Techniques and Process for making this Card:
  • For making this card , I have used the basic technique of masking.
  • First I planned how many flowers I want on the top and then stamped them randomly on my strathmore Watercolor Paper Cold press using distress ink Antique Linen.

  • Once I have got my top flowers I masked them with the flowers which I got by stamping them on a paper separately and fussy cutting them out as I wanted no white background in the flowers.
  • I have done the same techniques for the leaves as well and masked few to see the over lapping ones coming underneath the flowers.
  • After I was happy with my stamped images I started my coloring process.
  • Foremost I did a brown water wash outside my outline images. So spreading the brown outline with more water.
  • Then slowly and patiently I started doing every alternate petal at a time so that they are not wet as when I do the petal in between the two I did before.

  • For the middle of the flowers I did black dots with watercolor.
  • For a bit of enhancement I also splattered some white with my brush.
  • My sentiment "happy" was cut two times on white card stock and 1 pcs in gold glitter card stock to have a raised effect.
  • "for you" I stamped with the Altenew New Antique Gold Pigment Ink on a black card stock.

Its amazing when you are challenged with something out of your comfort zone and try something new. I really would like to Thank Virginia and Erum for their support and love.

I look forward to create more and present myself more under their beautiful guidance.

Hope you all like it.

Altenew Zentangle for Cardmakers

Zentangle for cardmaker! what an amazing class it was. I have done few cards before with zentangle but never had a chance to finish them. Few tips and tricks learned with Amber Davis at the Altenew Academy was just on spot to full fill all needs.

Today I created a card with Zentangle. For this Card I have used the Geometric landscape which is a new release from Altenew. As soon as I saw this stamp I thought this would be perfect to do some zentangle. Along with this stamp I have also used Altenew Henna Element set.

So here I am with my card.

Here is the process on how I have created this card.

First I took a stamp from the Henna element and stamped them in a diagonal pattern on Nina Solar white along with its leaves. On a masking sheet I stamped flowers and leaves to cover the stamped images which I stamped on Nina solar white.

Now comes a bit of tricky part. The stamp was 6x6 so I had to bit struggle and expanding my lines with geometric pattern, I made a boo-boo but with Zentangle everything was hidden.
First I stamped the 6x6 Image pattern and then I moved my paper little on right side so that I can stamp the 1/4 of the stamp again .Below is my picture which will show you what exactly I did.

All the lines which went missing from my this image I did create them when I started with  my zentangle on it.

Once everything was finished I managed to die cut my sentiment happy cutout 4 times on a back cardstock to layer them on top of each other and used "Birthday" from Birthday builder stamp set.
To finish it I just added few bits of sequins to add sparkle to finish.

Hope you all like my card and would love to join Amber for her beautiful class for some more fun and learning.

Untill next time. happy Blogging

Watercolor Basics & Beyond using my watercolour Pan as Ink

Welcome back to my blog.

Today, I am sharing another technique which I learned from Jennifer Rzasa. Absolutely amazing technique. In this one I have used my pan colours as my inks and spritzing with water before stamping. The results are really beautiful.

For this card , I used the stamp set called Dainty bouquet stamp. First taking the big stamp on my acrylic block  and using the teal colour along with the waterbrush pen I applied it on my stamps. TIP: make sure when you are lifting the colour it should not be watery otherwise it will get smudged when stamped therefore it should have lot of pigment in it.

Once I finished doing with my large one . I placed the big one in such a way that they look like one stem and did all the same step as the first one.

Once I applied the colour I sprayed a bit of water on it so that the dry colours are all reactivated.

Now with the layering of just the flowers I have used the second medium and darker teal from my ink pads to have their layers stamped on top of each other.

For my sentiments I have used it from Build-A- Flower camellia with a jet black ink. Also a bit of splatter with black was done to finish the card.

Hope you all like it. Don't forget to leave me some comments.

DT Rianna ~ Christmas 2

Hi everyone,

This month's theme is Christmas at Auzz Trinklets N Crafts and I have another cute card to show you all. This one I think most of you will WOOLY like, especially the crafters out there who love yarn! 😛

~My Process~

First I started with a white card base at 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches. The My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" ) was perfect to cut my front panels. I cut one from smooth yellow cardstock and a shorter textured piece in teal that I trimmed down. Using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I stamped some cute little lambs and accessories from Mama Elephant's "Wooly Winter" using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copic Ciao markers. Next I cut my images using a Scan N Cut to save time.

After adhering my yellow and teal panels together, I stamped 'Happy Holidays' from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Happy Happy" set in Brilliance Graphite Black ink. These are such versatile stamps and can be used for many occasions. I adhered my front panels to my card base using Tombow's Multi Mono Liquid Glue and started adding my scene. I used the banner string die from Lawn Fawn's "Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up" die set to hang the super cute little sweaters on. Then I arranged the yarn balls into a tree and popped it up with some X-Press It foam tape, along with the little lambs. The sweaters and presents were adhered using Tombow's Multi Mono Liquid Glue.

~Products Used~

Accessories: • Sizzix Big Shot • Tim Holtz Stamp Platform • Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue • Copic Ciao markers: Y02, Y06, Y08, C0, C1, C3, R20, RV10, RV21, B00, BG01, G02, YG41 • X-Press It foam tape • Coloured cardstock • Brother Scan N Cut •

Ink: • Memento: Tuxedo Black • Brilliance: Graphite Black •

Stamps: • Lawn Fawn: Happy Happy Happy • Mama Elephant: Wooly Winter •

Dies: • My Favorite Things: A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 • Lawn Fawn: Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up •

I really enjoyed making this card. It is simple and yet so adorable for any yarn fans. Maybe those little lambs have been making their own wool for the sweaters?

I hope you all enjoyed my Design Team project for Auzz Trinklets N Crafts.
Thank you for visiting my blog and feel free to let me know what you think of this card in the comments below. 😊

DT Rianna ~ Christmas

Hi everyone,

This month's theme is Christmas at Auzz Trinklets N Crafts and I have a BEARY cute card to show you all. 🐻🎄

~My Process~

First I cut my card base at 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, and folded it in half. Then I cut my card front (kraft cardstock) using My Favorite Things "A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1" ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" ).

I stamped the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment using Mama Elephant's "Bella Letters" with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks "Candied Apple" and "Lucky Clover" with the Tim Holtz stamp platform. I did one colour at a time and carefully removed the ink from either side of the stamp to achieve the 'two-tone multicoloured look'
I then cut out the sentiment with My Favorite Things "Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX" ( 5/8" x 4 1/2" ) die using the Sizzix Big Shot but altered the length.

I stamped the tree, star and tree trunk from My Favorite Things "Oh Christmas Trees" with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks "Fossilized Amber", "Lucky Clover" and "Walnut Stain". The hats, bears and presents were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink so I could use my Copic Ciao markers to colour the images in. The bears are from Heffy Doodle's "Beary Big Heart" and the hats and presents are from Lawn Fawn's "Holiday Party Animal". I coloured the images in and cut them all out, the pink bear image is originally hugging a love heart, but I cut around the bear as I only wanted to use the bear in this project.

I adhered the card front, sentiment and images with Tombow's Permanent Adhesive Tape Runner.

I added some Wink of Stella to the white on the christmas hats, ribbons on the presents and the star. I originally had nothing on the tree, but it looked unfinished so I added Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops "White Blizzard" to represent baubles and I used a Wink of Stella fine tip pen to 'join' the baubles together to look like sparkly tinsel. I also added some Sakura black glaze pen for the bears noses.

~Products Used~

Accessories: • Sizzix Big Shot • Tim Holtz Stamp Platform • Poppy Crafts 210gsm A4 Premium White Cardstock • Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze: Black • Memento Pen: Tuxedo Black • Martha Stewart mini scoreboard • Tombow Permanent Adhesive Tape Runner • Copic Ciao markers: C0, Y17, RV02, RV10, RV29, BV02, B00, BG01 • Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Drops: White Blizzard • Wink of Stella brush pen: Clear • Wink of Stella fine tip pen: Clear •

DT Deni - All About Men 3

Hi, DT Deni with you today.

What a beautiful day it was in a Sydney today, perfect day for washing the car and doing laundry.

I have created a male card today for. Little 2 year old boy, he is a little man in my life lol.

To start with I had a La La Land Crafts Super Hero Luka image on my desk from a previous colouring, he is available in Rubber and Digital Stamp.
I have cut the arrow, the bracket and the building scene from Club La La Land Crafts - January 2016 Kit. These products are now available separately, I will have the individual items linked below.

I have used Doodlebug Design Inc Day to Day 6x6 pad for the patterned paper and American Crafts Cardstock for the matting layers. All the layers have been adhered using Scotch ATG.

I cut the happy word die using W Plus 9 Happy Trio Die out of Canson Cardstock using Sizzix Big Shot and adhered it to the patterned papers using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. I adhered Luka to the patterned paper to start creating a scene. I have cut the Skyline Border Die, the Arrows and the bracket using Canson Cardstock and American Crafts Cardstock which I have adhered using the Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

I prepared some black cardstock using EK Success Powder Tool and stamped the word Birthday using My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants stamp set using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad, I then added Ranger Super Fine Detail white embossing Powder and melted it using my heat tool.

I have cut the number 2 using American Crafts Cardstock and I wrote the ND using Uniball Signo White Angelic Gel Pen, I then adhered everything.

I then added Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to the Arrow to finish off the card.

Lastly I adhered all the layers onto a Twiddleybitz Card Base using Scotch ATG, I did the same thing for the inside of the card.

I really hope you enjoyed my card today. All Products Used have been listed below, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message via Facebook.

DT Tracey....Stencils

Hey Everyone, I'm back to share another project using "Stencils"........which is our theme for the month.
I have used "Altenew Floral Drape" Stencil to create the background on this layout. It is the same stencil I used on the card I shared a few weeks ago.
Its been a lot time since I created a double page layout!

I used a dauber and chalk inks to add colour to the stencil. The Pretty flowers and leaves are from "Altenew Beautiful day" stamp set. I only used the outline stamp .........I then used an aqua brush and Gelatos to create a soft water colour effect to colour in.  A few colour shine spatters, a sprinkle of sequins, wood veneer butterflies, and doilies with a tiny heart button...........lots of my favorite bits and pieces 😊

DT...Tracey

Hey Everyone,
We have a fun theme for the month of June...."Stencils"
I have created a very Simple or Cas Style card using "Altenew - Floral Drape Stencil

I first used painters tape to secure the stencil to the paper. I used  different chalk ink to blend the colours with daubers onto the stencil design..

After the design was all inked, I cut the paper to my card size, mat it with coordinating card stock, then to a white card base.
I splattered some extra ink over the design and a few sequin to finish it off.
"Thank you" sentiment is from Altenew Painted rose.

Hope this has given you more ideas on how you can create with your stencils

Happy Crafting

Mothers day

Hello,
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Mothers Day.
Its Tracey back with you........Our theme for the month of may is Mothers day. I've created a layout with a beautiful photo of my Mother.

I've kept the colours very soft ....tone on tone ,  a mix of lemon , cream and green. I did not want the embellishments to take away from the photo!
A simple layout with lots of layering of pretty papers!

The small flowers were created using Memory Box die - Cherry Blossom. The three large lemon flowers, leaves and sentiment (which is hard to see in the photo ) were created using Altenew Dahlia blosssoms. I also used the coordinating dies to cut the flowers and leaves. The sentiment reads..."Live Life in full Bloom"

Thanks for stopping by...happy crafting!

DT Teresa - Mother's Day

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a cheerful card for Mother's Day, our theme for the month of May.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock for the base which is cut with a paper trimmer at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored with a teflon bone folder at 5 1/2" to make a top folding card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Circle Doodle Background in Versamark Ink onto a piece of  5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Strathmore Bristol Cardstock after using the EK Tools Powder Tool to guard against stray embossing powder. I then covered the stamped background with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the powder with a Wagner Heat Tool

I then chose colours of the rainbow from my collection of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and painted the rings of the circles on the card in ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) order and I threw pink in there too, for good measure! I lay down a small amount of each colour in a ring and then blended out the colour using a Zig Wink of Stella Brush Marker which created a shimmer all over the card. The shine of the embossing powder and shimmer on the colour looks beautiful, but difficult to capture in a photograph.

I die cut butterflies using Pretty Pink Posh Blissful Butterflies Coordinating Dies from the coloured cardstock, once it had dried and with the same die I also cut some butterflies from a black foam sheet using the Sizzix Big Shot Machine. I allowed the foam cut butterflies sit over night to allow them to bounce back into shape after being compressed in the Bigshot Machine before adhering them to the bottom of the coloured butterflies with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I cut a triangle away from the coloured piece and adhered it with Kokuyo Glue Tape Roller to the bottom of the left hand side of the card front and cut a strip of Simon Says Stamp Cardstock in Doll Pink and two thin black cardstock strips to run down the length of the triangle. On to the pink strip, I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Message Me in Versamark Ink and embossed it with Ranger Embossing Powder, White and placed the three strips on to the card front using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I placed Auzz Trinklets N Crafts Dew Drops 6mm on either side of the sentiment, again using Ranger Multi Medium Matte, which is not at all visible under the clear domes once it has dried. The foam-raised butterflies were then placed onto the card front.

To complete the card, I cut black cardstock into a card front-sized rectangle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 16 with the Sizzix Bigshot and then lay the rectangle die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13, ensuring it was centred onto the larger die cut rectangle and ran it through the Bigshot once again. This left me with a narrow frame which I glued onto the card as a finishing touch.

Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.

Happy crafting and have a great day!

Teresa
