DT Deni - Monday Focus

Hi Everyone,

DT Deni here with you tonight.

Not a normal monthly DT post here. But some of you may know that I have decided to start trying to make You Tube videos of my colouring and card process. I have finally worked all this out. There is a few little hiccups along the way but I feel like I am getting better and better.
A few people have been awesome and given me feedback on things I can do to make them better. I am hoping in my latest video that I have been able to do exactly that.

My first video - the turtle is horrible! Yes I am being honest hahah. I wasn't sure how to make a you tube video.. I started out videoing in one program and then in a second, this has made my video jump around and the background music cut in and out. **EDITED this video has been removed apparently the music in the background which was part of the editing software was a breach of copyright laws**

Anyway onto the good stuff.. Video 2 is a Copic Colouring video, I have coloured up the My Favorite Things Space Explorer stamp set that I recently received in an order from Auzz Trinklets n Crafts. I'd love for you to pop by my You Tube channel and check it out.

Here is the card I created using the image from Video 1.

Once you have watched it, i'd love for you to watch video number 3 which I have just finished editing tonight. I have made a few improvements on this one - I slowed the video down a little, I added pictures of the completed project at the end, I am focusing on my nerves.. had all my supplies written down so I didnt feel on the spot too much when I was doing the voice over. I have also had my ventolin before talking and concentrated on my breathing haha. I am still struggling a little after being sick two weeks ago. I would love your honest feedback if you think there is something else I can improve on.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again over the next few days as the DT Girls share their "Animal" themed projects. I will see you on Saturday with a project and hopefully another video to go with it.

DT Kerry - Animals

Hello everyone,

This weeks theme is "animals" so I thought I would make something other than a card and produce a scrapbook page.  Its been a while since my last layout and I have been wanting to scrap a page of our relatively new dog (now 2 years old) since we bought her home.

The kids absolutely love her and she brings so many laughs (and who's turn it is to feed her arguments) to our home.

I hope you find some inspiration to create a page of one of your pets (if you have one).

Thanks for looking!

I started off by using some Strathmores Bristol Smooth cardstock and stamping the fox stamp from the Altenew Origami stamps with Versamark ink several times and embossed with the Ranger Super Fine embossing powder in white.  I then blended some Tim Holtz Oxide inks in Broken China and Cracked Pistachio colours over the page.  After splattering some water to distress the background and flicking some Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron, I was ready to start laying out my design.

I wanted to include more than one photo (so I could include both children) and felt that it was too congested with them all being visible, so I added a "flap" so you could lift it to see the other pictures.  Having the die cut leaves and flowers also made it fun by adding some more detail... almost like 2 layouts in one ;-)

*I have listed some products above that possibly dont appear in the Auzz Trinklets Store however, if you contact Neha she may be able to order it in for you.

Happy crafting, Kerry.
